so sad Okay, I loved this bag in the store. LOVED. I bought it even though it was kind of a splurge. I was really excited that it would hold two sippy cups (two kids, two cups) and just enough kid and mom stuff to get through the day. Until the first time I used it. Seriously the next day the fabric around the curve in the large zipper section started to pull away and fray out. And the bag wasn't even that full. I figured I had just gotten a lemon and brought it back to switch. They didn't have the same bag left so I got a different color, same style. The fabric around the zipper in that bag held up for 3 weeks, then the same thing happened. Since it had been a month since the original purchase the store would no longer return it so I stuck the fabric to the liner with fabric glue. Now 9 months later the zipper finally just busted and I can throw it away. A word to the wise: this bag looks very trendy in the store, not so much with batting hanging out of the liner. Get a different bag.
large and thick This bib is larger and much thicker than other bibs we've used. I loved it. The thickness allowed my daughter to spill drinks on herself without soaking through. In my opinion, the cost of this bib is worth it. I would (and will) buy more of these for my second child instead of buying a bundle of 10 skimpy bibs any day.
polyester blend sheets make my daughter sweat. These look nice, but I wish they were 100% cotton. The polyester fabric makes my daughter sweat. It's kind of icky.
super soft infant kimono As a new mother buying baby clothes, I find the organic clothes are by far the softest. This little kimono is so easy to put on the baby and incredibly soft and light - so it's not bulky when worn under other clothes. The only downside is the string ties can be confusing in half-light night-time changes when mom is super tired.
A real necessity When I bought the carrier I wasn't concerned about drool- my newborn never drooled. Now my 4 month old sucks on the front of the carrier and it's kind of gross, not to mention obvious to all by the 3 inches of darkened fabric. I tried sticking a burp cloth there but it wasn't really helping, slipping out of place, falling, and still getting the carrier wet. We bought these and are quite happy to say we stopped washing the carrier after every outing. ;-p
They have:
a water-proof barrier,
are easy to pop on,
stay in place,
look good,
and yet still seem tasty enough to gum and suck on.
We are very happy and will buy another set of 2 for vacationing.
